Squeezebox 3 RCA jacks too big for hifi cable?

I have a Squeezebox 3 and I have found that the RCA output jacks on it are a tiny bit big for my Audioquest interconnect cables and I have to force them on and use a lot of effort to get them off. The worst part is, I just bought some really nice DH Labs Air Matrix RCA interconnects for it and the RCA's will not even go on a fraction of an inch. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a remedy?

I also find the RCA jacks on the SB3 to offer a tighter-than-normal fit.

However, I believe you will discover that your DH Labs Air Matrix RCA interconnects use RCA connectors with locking barrels. As Cruz123 suggests, loosen the locking barrels by turning them counter clockwise. Install them, and then tighten down the barrels to a snug, but not overly tight fit.

At the risk of stating the obvious, do the cables you're using have locking connectors? You may just need to loosen the connector by turning it to the open position (counter-clockwise on my AZ's), then push it onto the RCA and then tighten the connector back up to lock it down.
