Streaming music- not the end all music solution but one main advantage?

I noticed here on Agon that there are audiophiles who dislike streaming and some who like it. Some who hate digital and only like analog (think turntables and vinyl). Many who hate MQA and some that really listen to many MQA titles. Also some who really like the technical superiority of some equipment over others and really dig specs and others who trust their ears more.
What I like about streaming is the VAST every growing list of songs, artists and albums I can audition. I cannot own all this music in my home library and I cannot add 50-100 new albums daily. To me, for one who puts music before the equipment, this is the greatest advantage of streaming music.... I am much much more exposure to music. I don’t need to own it, but after a listen to a new artist, new song or new album that the I MUST have, I can buy the digital download or the analog version. What say you...about streaming?

Back ground music, yes, serious listening, no. Reason, most are inferior mp3's. There are a quite a few in here that use a site that streams .flac, I haven't tried those yet.

@gdnrbob ...huh? Streaming mp3 I do NOT care for unless it’s background music. I do believe I mentioned in my post the sites streaming .flac are the rave today, and yes, I haven't tried those yet although I don't see where I left negative towards them. What are you on about? MP3 streaming good for you? Good, just not my cup of tea.
@uberwaltz ...I believe ghosthouse and a couple of others suggested I try those sites you mentioned, hence my comment, ’ I haven’t tried those yet although I don’t see where I left negative towards them. ’
Been converting files for years, movies and music. Flac for me, mp3’s for the kids growing up. There use to be an app called Cool Edit I used for my own remastering and then save using Free Lossless Audio Codec app. I believe Cool Edit is now an Adobe product. I guess you could say I played geek for quite some time.

Anyways, today’s technology has taken us far, no doubt.
@uberwaltz ...thnx for the input, I’ll no doubt get around to it. Too many positive replies to ignore it. Cheers
Dang backwoods ohio guy into it means I’m running behind schedule...lmbo
Couldn’t resist 2psyop :)
Okay, y’all convinced me now to choose a platform. Node 2 refurbished, Node 2i, or is there another same price range I should consider?

I have the option swapping out the i3(no DAC) with the Bryston B-135 with DAC.
@2psyop ...thanx for the reply. Ok, think I'll run with the Node bypassing it's DAC into my Bryston internal DAC and save a few $$$. Time for me to catch up with y'all...*grinz
@uberwaltz ...yeppers, that’s what I was thinking, ethernet. Thanx
Appreciate everyone's input.
@gdnrbob
That went through my mind, most folks have older wifi routers or the basic provided by the cable company. Where it’s going already has ethernet with a switch/hub. Good point you brought up.
Routers...lol, yes, it is something one has to take into consideration. Not to change the topic but I upgrade mine every few years and when I do two factors come into play: speed and the IP table for security.
