Consider Odyssey Stratos Mono Extremes. I have owned a Bryston 14B
SST, and it's an outstanding amplifier. The Odyssey Monos are very, very
competitive as far as sonics are concerned, with perhaps a touch more
sweetness in the highs, and a less clinical sound. I always found my
Bryston 14B SST to be bright no matter what I did to ameliorate the
problem elsewhere in my system.
Following Pehare's comment about current, the Odyssey amps deliver
more than 120 amps of current and have 360,000uF filter capacitance.
Worth a look, IMO, and a bargain at $2895/pair retail.
