Vienna Beethoven Baby Grand , PrimaLuna compatab

Lookin for anyone who would know if Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Baby Grand speakers would match up well with my PrimaLuna 3 preamp and PrimaLuna 5 (36-40 watts) Amp.
I am considering buying the Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Baby Grand speakers, but I am not sure about the overall compatability.
Would appreciate any advice, especially from those fellow audiogoners that may have this set up in use

Thank You
Brad

Hi Brad:

Glad it worked out. Now that I think about it, I swapped the Operas between the 4 & 8 ohm taps, before settling on the 8 ohm taps. You will be very pleased how nicely the VAs will sound, once they break in a little more. Two years after acquiring the Operas, I am still very satisfied with the purchase.

Best regards,

Rich
Hi Rich
Just wanted to let you know,I did go ahead with the VA Baby Grands. At first I was a little dissapointed now matter how I positioned them, they lacked in imaging, tonal balance, bass deffinetion, etc., just to much music from the speakers. My Triangle Celius ESW beat them by a mile. But I wasn't givin up, at least not yet.
Being these speakers have a 4 ohm load, it was a while before it came to mind to see if using the 8 ohm amp taps resulted in approvment. As A result the speakers came to life in all aspects. As far as compatability, I would have no problem in recommending mating PrimaLuna with VA Baby Grands. The PrimaLuna manual does state not to make any assumptions with regard to using 4 or 8 ohm taps and to trust your ears. My ears are very happy now that I went with the 8 ohm taps. It looks like I will be selling a pair of Triangle Celius ESW before to long, although a second system would be nice.

Thanks again for your help
Brad
Thank You, Steve and Rich for your inputs
It looks like I probably go with the Baby Grands
When I get them, I will let you know what I think.
I am using a PL5 power amp/ Musical Fidelity CD PRE 24 combination with Opera Platea floorstanders. Good compatability, very enjoyable. Opera speakers are similar to Vienna Acoustics in terms of overall sound, sensitivity, etc.

I recall seeing this rig on the systems page (below). Not exacly your pre/amp setup, but probably close to what you're thinking about. Contact this guy.

I would worry about the 4 ohm impedance of the baby grand and the consequent high-current demand.
