A really nice second hand copy of Chicago VII. I really like the jazzy instrumentals on the first disc and there are some nice hits on the second record.
I picked up a nice used copy of Jack White's Blunderbuss and listened to that last night.  I think that might be my favorite record of his.
@slaw  The vinyl itself had a little bit of noise but overall I thought it sounded great.  One of the things that caught my attention was the production quality.  I'm not sure I have the words to describe it, but it reminded me of older classic rock recordings where stereo separation seemed to be used more and it was a bit "low fi" but at the same thing very detailed, like I could hear his amp buzzing at the end of a couple of songs.  I don't have any complaints about it.  I hated the Lazaretto dual groove vinyl.  I could never get it to play right.
Hall & Oates - Abandoned Luncheonette. I've bought a few copies of this including MOFI and a "hot stamper". I finally found one that sounds really clean, almost like new, for $5 today.
@slaw My MOFI copy of Abandoned Luncheonette that I purchased from Discogs was advertised as "NM-", but didn't quite live up to that.  It does sound really good for the most part, just not as clean and quiet as the "new" one I picked up yesterday.  That one plays like new and sounded great.
Utopia - Oops!  Wrong Planet. I found a nice promo copy at the record store today. It sounds really good so far.
Space Art - Play Back

Sounds a bit like a mashup of Kraftwerk and Vangelis, heavy on the Kraftwerk.
I moved a couple of turntables around yesterday, putting my Project RPM 9 in my main system and mounting a re-tipped Clearaudio Virtuoso Wood on it.  I've had the Virtuoso sitting in the closet for probably a year or so because I've been afraid to use it.

I've broken the cantilever off not once, but twice.  It's the most expensive cartridge I own now, LOL.

The RPM 9/Virtuoso combination bettered my Clearaudio Emotion / Hana SL setup, which surprised me (pleasantly) as that sounded very nice.  The Virtuoso has more shimmer and sparkle and "air" on the top end, great separation and soundstage, and is very detailed.

I played my brand new 180 gram copy of Blood on the Tracks and my MOFI copy of side two of Fleetwood Mac S/T. It was pretty close to audio nirvana.

The acoustic guitars on Blood on the Tracks sounded really nice and World Turning on Fleetwood Mac was really dynamic.  I heard some background vocals from Stevie on Say you Love Me that I never noticed before.

@6t5-gto Thanks for the heads up on the MOFI.  I have spent more than that on a record before, but I'm not sure I can justify that, unless I bought it purely as a collector's item.
I have a $2.98 used copy of Aja that I use as a reference whenever I make changes to one of my turntables.  I have a MOFI and a heavyweight copy of it also, but the 3 dollar one sounds great.

I've been really happy with most of the MOFI vinyl pressings I've purchased.  I have a couple where another "standard" pressing sounds as good, or better.

I've been disappointed with Analogue Productions.  I had to get 2 or 3 copies of Roger Waters Amused to Death before I got one that wasn't warped.  I just bought It's Like This by Rickie Lee Jones and it was pretty noisy.

Todd Rundgren - Runt

It's a pressing from the Netherlands.  I picked up a couple of other records that came from the Netherlands at my local record store recently.  Whoever had them took really good care of them and they sound great.
I got my new (to me) JVC QL-Y66F turntable yesterday and set it up last night.  I started up with a not so great copy of Lynryd Skynrd's Gold and Platinum and followed with AC/DC's Highway to Hell (also a bit beat up).  Both records sounded better with a good bath on the VPI and the turntable sounds REALLY nice for what I paid for it and I love the way it looks.  It's really sensitive to airborne vibrations and I'm going to try to do some damping on the plinth so that I can play it louder and clean up the bass.
@slaw It was one of the better shows I've been to. The two of them on stage together, a couple of acoustic guitars each, lots of witty banter, and outstanding performances by them both.
Seeing the post about Deceptive Bends made me want to listen to some 10CC.  Playing Greatest Hits 1972-1978.
Gary Numan - The Pleasure Principle. I've been out of town for a few days in a place with no music other than my IEM's. It's good to be home!
I just put a bunch of modeling clay inside the plinth of my JVC QL-Y66F and took off the bouncy feet it came with and sat it on hockey pucks. It was getting a lot of vibration. I thought I'd put it to the test going down the highway to hell with AC/DC. It's rocking!
Gotta love Montrose!  The first album with Sammy Hagar is one of my all time favorites.
Picked up a nice used copy of Toys in the Attic at the record store this afternoon, along with a few other things.
Deep Purple - When we rock, we rock and when we roll, we roll.  Picked up a nice used copy for 4 bucks.  Allmusic only gave this compilation 2.5 stars, but I think it was mostly because of the goofy name.  Sounded great to me!
