"Face the Face" - Pete Townshend - 12" 45 RPM "Single" - Live version of "Face the Face" from the movie - White City on Side A and the studio versions of "Face the Face" and "Hiding Out" on the B side.
astro58go,

Agreed. Most people who only know Boz Scaggs from his radio hits don't really know Boz. The hits were OK, and certainly better than much of the stuff from the same era. However, they are a minor portion of his overall output and they weren't my favorites from him.
Ass Ponys - "electric rock music" - Still one of my favorite records by a local band from here in Cincinnati.
Willie Nelson - "Startdust" - MoFi Silver Label - Picked up an unopened copy from the used record bins at my LSR on Record Store Day. $16.99 for a new one! A great pick......
Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio - "Live at KEXP"

Awesome Stuff...... Funky Organ Soul Jazz. These guys played on Record Store Day 2018 at my LRS - Plaid Room Records. Was great fun....
Dave Mason - "Certified Live". First pressing - Double Live LP. "Certified Live" no studio overdubs. Excellent Album from 1976. Killer performance.....

For lunch today I played side one of Rush's "Hemispheres". What an epic!
Supertramp - "Paris" - Another Record Store Day pick from the used bins - $3.99 for a really nice, clean copy of this live double LP.
The Supremes - "at the Copa" - I saw this in the used record bin at my LRS on Record Store Day 2018. I couldn't resist! I remember my oldest sister listening to this back when I was a wee lad. It brings back good memories.
Cowboy Junkies - "The Trinity Session" - The last of my RSD 2018 purchases......
Steve Earle - "Townes-The Basics" - Another Record Store Day pick from the used record bins....
@slaw - Love The Jayhawks. Have you heard The Jayhawks - "Live from the Women's Club Vol. 1-2"? Really awesome, stripped-down sound. Excellent stuff.....
My son was in the basement listening room playing video games this evening. When his time was over, I asked him what he wanted to hear. He said "None of the Above". So I put on The Bears "S/T" - opening track - "None of the Above". He thinks I have a song for everything......

Tonight:

The Bears - "S/T"
Dave Brubeck Quartet - "Time Out"
Rush - Permanent Waves"
Procol Harum - "A Salty Dog"  2017 Mofi re-issue.....again.....

It's so good.....
Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio - "Close But No Cigar"

Funky Organ Soul Jazz.......... If you like that sort of thing......
@slaw - Somehow I missed  Son Volt "Okemah and the Melody of Riot" when it can out. I took a quick listen on YouTube and liked what I heard. They have it in stock at my LRS, so I think I'll pick it up next time in in the shop.

I'm curious if you bought the most recent Son Volt Record - "Notes of Blue" and what you think about it. I bought it when it first came out and I like it quite a bit.
Just got in from a 4 day long weekend ski trip and found the LP "Underground Soul" from Houston Person was delivered while I was gone. (Thanks USPS). I found a nice original 1967 mono pressing on eBay and got it for a song IMHO. Anyway, put it on and was very impressed.

For any of you soulful jazz fans out there, Houston Person is THE man. Check out the song "Underground Soul" from his debut 1967 album or his solo on Joey DeFrancesco's - "Live at the 5 Spot" on "Moonlight in Vermont".

Great stuff......

I love Fridays (and Tuesdays). Those are used bin restocking days at my Local Record Store. Walked out this morning with these beauties from the today's bin:

Harry Nilsson - "Nilsson Schmilsson" - original 1971 release
Chet Baker - "Quartet" w/Russ Freeman - 2016 Vinyl Lover remaster
Ass Ponys - "electric rock music"  - Score! Never seen one of these before. New, unopened in the used bin. The LRS owner says the band members are regulars and they sometimes bring in excess stock and trade on other stuff. Was luck to find this one.

And, from new stock - The Record Store Day 2018 Release of Son Volt - "Okemah and the Melody of Riot" (Thanks to the recommendation from @slaw )

Once through the spin clean and I'll be listening to new records this evening....

@slaw - Nope, never heard "Eden Alley". I'll check it out.

Listening to "Nilsson Schmilsson" now. I haven't heard it in years. It's pretty good stuff. Side 2 is near epic with 3 of his biggest hits on that one record side.
Son Volt - "Okemah and the Melody of Riot" - Holy Cow! I missed this when it was originally releases. Thank goodness it was just released on vinyl for RSD2018. Picked it up based on @slaw recommendation and it is KILLER. Wow!

@bdp24 - Nice find. Does it sound good? I think the original release sounds fantastic.
The Doobie Brothers - "what were once vices are now habits"

One of my favorites from my early teen years.......
@lpplayer - Welcome to the "What's on your turntable tonight?" thread. CSNY - nice! Keep 'em coming.......
