Whats playing on your system today?
Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.
I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....
Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....
Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Big Camel fan practically since their inception. I have most all of their releases from over the years. Check out http://www.progarchives.com/ for a site that demonstrates fan appreciation of Camel, Andrew Latimer, Peter Bardens, and supporting casts over the years. Even somewhat more pop oriented and less progressive late 70’s-early 80’s albums Breathless, I Can See Your House From Here, Nude, and Stationary Traveller are all worth way more than the price of admission as are even later releases Rajaz, Nod and a Wink, and the redo of Snow Goose from a few years back. |
Today I took the Kamasi Washington Heaven and earth for a spin. got it for Xmas and Im happy to say I like it way better than "The Epic" Just listened to Rhye "Woman" Rather interesting group. Had no idea that is a man singing lead. If you like music by Sade you will most likely like this LP. Cheers |
QUI - QUI -QUI!!! I am over 70 and grew up with Zappa. For new music and new sounds these guys kill it. Recent cover released of Beefheart's, 'You Treat Me Like An Ashtray Heart', that got a great review from Eric Feldman (Magic Band bassist) and director of the Beefheart organization since the Captain died is amazing with some of the Melvins who jumped in while at the same studio. I get bored listening to old Stones albums again and again. QUI makes it! |
