Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Nutty.
I like to cover all media bases...lol
Some days I have the vinyl itch
Some days it might be cassette
Then maybe cd or sacd
Lazy days require streaming though....lol.

There is a place for all media after all the journey is music!
uberwaltz,
I'm showing some vinyl envy. No Albumns here only digital medium.

Rush! S/T
Kansas, S/T

Actually felt like flipping vinyl today.

Scarabus... Ian Gillan Band

Looks like it have never been played, no hiss or pops or ticks, sweet.
Crazy situation where I can buy SACD cheaper from England including shipping to me here in the USA than buying here.

That being said, latest new to me SACD.

Sacred Love .... Sting
Trying to decide which I like better: The Reiner or the Barenboim recordings of the Verdi Requiem.

Yes, I also have two of the Guilini .
Nutty.
Was so close to hitting play on that album but went with Black gives way to Blue, Alice in Chains instead. They were right next to each other in my Deezer playlist!
Very disappointed with the new Shinedown.  One of the worst recordings in years.  It's so bad it sounds like very early digital.
Yes Slaw, I'm a fan of the Eels. Funny thing is I just started listening to them a few months ago. Listening to "End Times" from them right now. Really a great band
Nutty
It really is a shame they did such a poor overblown job on the Shinedown production as some good songs in there.

All I am going to say is it sucks getting old!
20 years ago I would have already been bounding around and back at work.

Still plenty of time to listen to some sounds.

Another SACD.
Regatta De Blanc... The Police
uberwaltz,

Hope your convalescing. Monitoring your thread daily. Listened to Shinedown, Attention Attention. It's growing on me.

Rod Stewart, Every Picture Tells A Story

And yes Happy "Winners" day to all my American brothers ( and sisters) out there.

Was digging some UFO earlier Nutty!
WTH.
Really not sure what is going on with Slaw?
We had some unfortunate words a short while ago that should have been avoided.
If you reading this Slaw, it is all good and its just a hobby we all share.
And yes I have changed speakers again....lol!

@nutty,

around a year ago, I was digging some Ryan Bingham, some Mary Gauthier.. going through their catalog...

you responded….’lighten up’

I’ll never forget that.

So, don’t lead others to think you’ve never had something to say regarding others’ music preferences.

Now that the air is clear, I'll stay away from your thread.

Marc Cohn - S/T -On CD.  Man, this is one killer debut album. So good. Anyone else have any love for this one?

Asaf Avidan and the Mojos - the Reckoning

if you’ve never heard Asaf Avidan before, give it a try.

Saryn Chorney on People.com said it nicely:
“Avidan, 34, sounds like the musical love child of Billie Holiday and Bob Dylan, or maybe Janis Joplin meets Robert Plant, or even Amy Winehouse and Tom Waits.”
