From years and years of being on audio sites, usually folks want to know the brand name, the cost. Writing it right up front is just habit to save time because someone will ALWAYS ask. Doing so is not bragging. A lot of folks also are interested, and plenty of them never post! (the 'silent majority'. All those lurkers who just like to read audio stuff)
