Worth purchasing infinity irs III without the emit towers?

Have the opportunity to get the 2  seven foot bass towers for cheap.

What's the point? Unless you have a lot of room for something imposing like that, you would do better with sanely sized quality powered subwoofers. I think that they also need a separate external crossover. There's a reason why the price is cheap...
Good point. Not sure what I’d do with them. But I mean dirt cheap $600. Going to see them in a few days. I’ll prob get them if there complete with built in amps.

That's a good deal if the drivers are in good condition. The control woofers alone are worth about that. The servo unit, if it's included, also has value.
It’s your decision, and it sounds like you really want them. Just remember, there is a lot of math and engineering that goes into designing speakers that work well together. You may drive yourself crazy trying to find an external crossover and mid/high frequency drivers that work well together. If you don’t find them, they’ll just be a couple more things sitting in your garage gathering dust. Just something to think about...
@tonykay makes an excellent point regarding integrating these.  And the IRS don't happen to be my flavor, but obviously few others have match their awe factor. Still, I would go for it.  I can't see getting another opportunity to buy two towers, each with 6 X 15" woofers and amplification for $600. Regardless of how it plays out, it will assuredly scratch your itch for thunder down under
