PS AUDIO PREMIER

Years ago, I owned a PS Audio premier power regenerator. I enjoyed having it, but had to send it back because it was reacting to some kind of problem with the incoming power line. Sometimes at night I would hear it click as if it was adjusting to something on the AC line. Thing is, it was turned off. PS Audio sent it back after making a new grounding scheme for it. It was no use, same trouble. I sold the unit and went a different direction. So, my question is, has anyone else had issues with this unit? I am tempted to buy one again hoping for a better result< since they are going for 'cheap' nowadays.

I had one and also sold it.
I now use two conditioners:
A Furman REF20i bought used here on Audiogon, and able to go and pick up.
Also a PS Audio P600 used, which I also bought here used after finding out it is capable (if optional circuit board installed) able to output optional A/C frequencies. (I use mine at 110Hz A/C output.

Remember PS Audio brought back manufacturing from China AFTER the PPP. So any inference one can draw from that is your's to draw.
This thing gets quite a bad informal press. I was thinking in the past of getting one but no thank you. APS Purepower seems to be a regenerator to go for.
It's China again, but it's not Chinese fault really.
I disagree that the PPP got a lot of bad press. It was a well rated unit. I would say from reading, that it had it's share of problems, all taken care of by the company.
My comment was that on down the line, repair may be iffy.. As the PPP original product was made in China, and PS Audio has realized that was not such a great thing.
As for breakdowns. Not to many complaints on down the line.
Certainly not enough to condemn the product.

I love my PS Audio P600 and hope it runs forever...
I sold my PPP because I wanted the alternative A/C frequencies available in the 600.
I've had a PPP for over a year, feeding power to my entire system, with no clicks or other problems. The positive difference it's made for my system has been huge. Lucky so far... I'll knock on wood.
