I disagree that the PPP got a lot of bad press. It was a well rated unit. I would say from reading, that it had it's share of problems, all taken care of by the company.
My comment was that on down the line, repair may be iffy.. As the PPP original product was made in China, and PS Audio has realized that was not such a great thing.
As for breakdowns. Not to many complaints on down the line.
Certainly not enough to condemn the product.
I love my PS Audio P600 and hope it runs forever...
I sold my PPP because I wanted the alternative A/C frequencies available in the 600.
