How do you bi-amp with tubes and solid state

I am thinking of picking up a BAT tube amp to run my Aerial 10t's along with my Krell KSA-300s! My preamp is a Krell KRC-3! My question is if there is any way to adjust the gain on the amps or if this is even necessary when bi-amping? I just worry about one amp being louder than the other and making the sound unmatched! My only experience with this was in car audio! I would just use an electronic crossover to handle it! Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you, Troy

Same here. Get an electronic crossover with level controls.

I second Kal's recomendation. I am biamping a MG 3.5 with ARC VT100 MKII on the treble/midrange and SS monoblocks (Kenwood L07M) on the bass panels. I am using a Marchand XM126s electronic tube xover. You need the active xover to adjust the xover slopes as well as the levels.

There is a pair of Levinson active crossovers for sale; this was one of the best. But, they are old so may require service. Other excellent units are the Pass active crossover.
