Romantic Cello Recordings?

I am looking for some romantic music played by Cello. Please, no Yo-Yo Ma. I already have lots of his stuff. I like the way cello music sounds on my sound system.

Any suggestions?

Another vote for the Glass Bead Game. Nathaniel Rosen's playing is lovely. Also check out Chopin and Rachmaninov Cello Sonatas. There are several versions available. I bought the CD for one track - the Schubert Serenade with the vocal part played on the cello. Truly wonderful.

I recommend Stern Rose and Istomin. Yo-Yo has gotten a tad yo-yo for me. Not romantic but check out Bach cello suites by Rostropovitch. Deep and weeping.
