Anyone heard "O Brother Where Art Thou?

I just saw an Amazon teaser when I signed off email. What a lineup. Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Emmylou Harris (on one song), Norman Blake, the Whites, Fairfield Four, the Cox Family, John Hartford. Wow.

Saw a post recently describing the "hairs up on back of neck" reaction to music. I might describe it more as chills up and down my spine, but whatever it is, I got it when listening to Alison Kraus and First BAptist Church Choir. And that was in my noisy Jeep doing 75 mph!! I must admit to being a huge fan of hers since hearing her sing in a small venue in CT when she was still a teen. She did an a capella number that night with Union Station that just blew me away. Anyways, I'm not a religous guy at all but the harmonies, simple arrangements, and emotion in this kind of music strikes a chord in me.

Kelly, if you can recommend some other stuff like this, I'd be grateful. I have Cox Family/Allison Kraus CD and lots of other bluegrass/folk/roots stuff, but always looking for more in this vein.
Kelly...thanks! I happenned to be at Tower Records last week and saw "...Safety Zone" for $7.99 Mgr at Tower explained that they were having a big sale on all $12.99 mid-price before dropping prices on ALL Cds $2 soon! Hmm....
Must say that Safety Zone is great...but why is the first cut so bad sonically? Historical track added for interest?...
Just found a new copy of Red Dirt Girl on eBay for $8...can't wait to hear it.... Anyone recommend Alison Krause's best? Violins are so hard to get right....
Ernie.
Danvetc...maybe you shouldn't try recording them in your trailer? (Couldn't resist.) Happy spring to ya, buddy.
