Help using Caig cleaning products

Agree on USE SPARINGLY!!!
The cleaner is ok to use whatever way you want, but the others should be used only to coat the items with an invisible coating. If you can see it glistening wet, that is way too much to leave on, and that 'extra' will turn to crud soon enough. The superthin coating, on the other hand, will protect for a long time to come.
Using Q-Tips works better than the brushs with the bottle...

CAUTION! Be sure to use Pro-Gold X (extended temperature) for your tube pins and sockets. Don't use the regular Pro-Gold for this application.

Damn! I wish I had read your post, Fatparrot, before I ordered the Pro
Gold. Tube pins is one of the uses I had in mind for the Pro Gold. But,
at least I read the post before I used the Pro Gold on my tubes.

However, according to the Parts Express website, both ProGold G100L
and ProGold GX100L have the exact same temperature range of -34C to
200C. If that's true, then what's the difference? It seems like marketing
to me.

Tvad, there has been a change in the ProGold product specs. According to their website:

"The ProGold GxL ® product line has been transitioned into the ProGold G100L ® line.

(Temperature Range, -45 C (-49 F) to +310 C (590 F)

If you have a specification written into your procedures for the ProGold GxL ®, and need to
re-certify the new ProGold G100L ®, we do have limited supplies of GxL at this time.

The old specs were:

ProGold G5 (-34 C to +200 C)
ProGold G5x (-45 C to +400 C)

My apologies that I was unaware of the Pro-Gold product line changes. You will be fine using their new product on your tube pins...but again, use VERY sparingly!
