Kck, since some of your comments are pointed at me, let me address a few of them:
I never wrote that any of the hot-buzz products can't be good, and I never wrote that the Emeralds aren't good or worthy of purchase. The OP said he hadn't read anything negative about the Emeralds, and so he was going to proceed with his purchase. My comment was strictly about the buzz some products get at the outset, and how the buzz eventually abates, and how some mitigating opinion(s) often surface several months down the road. The take-away from my posts is that it's simply too early in the Emerald's product cycle to know if and when any critical opinions will surface. So, to base a purchase decision primarily on present user commentary is premature, IMO.
I have heard some of the hot-buzz products through the years, and I have commented about them already in other threads. There's a lot of marketing BS that permeates high end audio (remember the original DK Design), and I like to encourage people to dig deeper.
Your comment was in response to a statement I made about not having heard the Emeralds. Again, I wrote nothing about the sound of the speakers, or their build quality or their design, and in fact I have suggested to the OP that he buy a pair to audition in his home. I admitted to not having heard them to add fairness and perspective to my comments.
You've spun the meaning of my comments to suggest that I am somehow against the product. This is simply not the case.
Enjoy yours for many years.
Probably true, and for every 'hot buzz' product there's a guy who hasn't heard them who says they can't be much good for this reason alone.

Well, THAT certainly renders everything you say credible.
