Durand record weight ha ha ha ha - and other crazy thing

I heard that a Durand record weight costs 3500 USD. - that is just bonkers - we are truly entering the twilight zone of hi-fi - sorry.
can anyone else think of similarly stupid products

So they compete with prices. However even in our forum there is a similar attitude. In this ''MC cartridge mini-shoot out '' discussion one can find ex eaquo winners of the competition : FR-7fz and Koetsu Coral stone (2 votes for each). If I owned the Koetsu instead of the FR-7fz I would kill myself (grin).
