MoFi makes a great point. Just because I don't care for the Groovetracer platter doesn't mean that you won't.
It is certainly warmer than the glass platter, with greater sustain. The leading edge of notes seems blunted, IMHO.
But we all pick the sound that suits our listening bias and system context better. You should listen for yourself and decide. All of these things are viable alternatives in the right system context.
One thing that is not debatable is that the dollars start adding up quickly and pretty soon you are in LP12 or VPI, or SOTA territory.
