A bit off topic, but related. I'm making up a replacement cable for a Grace 707 arm. The stock one bit the dust and anything will be an improvement. I've purchased a Cardas DIN and am planning to use Canare (solder connection) RCAs. I was considering going with Cardas "Golden Selection Stranded Lutz" but was told it's a pain in the ass to work. Previously I've used Monogamy (and Canare) microphone wire in recording studios and it's been fine. Obviously a HiFi and pro audio are quite different applications. Any input on cable and connectors is appreciated. I figure I can always upgrade the cable down the road if I'm not satisfied.
Should I connect the ground/drain wire at both ends for a TT?
