Plasma 42 inch ....

My Panasonic 42 inch was stolen recently .

At the time I bought the Panasonic(about 1 year ago ..) it was the best choice, considering performance vs price.

Looking at a new 42 inch.Any comments regarding the best buy currently ...?

Thanks

The audio synch problem continues to be an annoyance. Audio is ahead of video.
I have recently noticed a sync problem with our cable TV viewing, in particular last night on TNT. We have a Sony CRT and Adelphia cable.

Also, some video is noticeably "swimmy", in which the image lags somewhat as an object or person moves in the frame. I've noticed this primarily on ABC programming.

None of these issues existed prior to Adelphia's recent system upgrades.

So, Drubin, my point is that the sync issue might be originating with your service provider, not with your system. I can guarantee our sync issue has nothing to do with our TV, cable box or wire connections, as there is no sync problem when watching DVDs.

I'm beginning to think there are bugs in the whole paradigm shift to digital broadcasting.

No question about it.
Yeah, and those bugs are not provider specific. I have been noticing some synch problems on the Comcast HD feed recently.
I should clarify that I use standard definition TV and cable transmission, so again, this is not HD specific either. I think it's related to digital transmission, whether standard or high definition.
I noticed the same thing on my Sony when I switched to digital. Not the same with the basic analog, however, both the sound and overall picture seems better with digital.
