I have recently noticed a sync problem with our cable TV viewing, in particular last night on TNT. We have a Sony CRT and Adelphia cable.
The audio synch problem continues to be an annoyance. Audio is ahead of video.
Also, some video is noticeably "swimmy", in which the image lags somewhat as an object or person moves in the frame. I've noticed this primarily on ABC programming.
None of these issues existed prior to Adelphia's recent system upgrades.
So, Drubin, my point is that the sync issue might be originating with your service provider, not with your system. I can guarantee our sync issue has nothing to do with our TV, cable box or wire connections, as there is no sync problem when watching DVDs.
I'm beginning to think there are bugs in the whole paradigm shift to digital broadcasting.
