Others experience re: subs and Magmepan 20

I have Martin Logan CLX and use a pair of Martin Logan Descent i subs with the CLX subwoofer filter added (the filter compensates for the low frequency roll off of the CLXs)  Integration seems to me to be seamless once the overall level of the subs are set properly.  They have 3 10 inch drivers facing 120 degrees apart and are self powered (2100W peak).  I don't hear the difference in sound between the subs and panels whether using solid state (Krell) or vacuum tube (ARC) to power the CLXs.

Rarely do I 'feel' the impact of the subs as I typically don't play my system at those levels.  As an aside, I remember when I first purchased the subs and had them running alone for break-in. to ensure I "loosened" them up, there were times when I had the volume on the subs set far above what turned out to be optimal level.  Objects in my listening room were rattling to the point of distraction, I thought I would have more work to be done on the room but as I turned out I never listen at those levels.

There are time when I wonder what the newer Balanced Force 212 would be like.

Duke really knows his stuff.  He came over to my apartment and we tried his SWARM system versus dual Rythmik F12G.  He helped me dial in my Rythmik subs and was very impressed with them.

imdoc, supposedly if you put subs behind the speakers, you'll have phase issues. You can, however, put subs in front of speakers and delay the phase, assuming the sub has phase control.
