I have dedicated audio room 14.5x20.5x9 ft. Currently have Marantz Reference CD/Intergrated paired to Magnepan 1.7's with REL T-7 subs. For the vast majority of music I love this system. The only nit pick is that it is lacking/limited in covering say below 35 hz or so. For the first time actually buzzed the panel with an organ sacd. Bummer. Thought of upgrading subs to rythmicks but then I will need to high pass the 1.7's. Really don't want to deal with that approach.
Enter the Double Impacts. Many interesting things here. Would certainly have a different set of strengths here. Dynamics, claimed bottom octave coverage in one package, suspect a good match to current electronics.
I've read all the threads here so we do not need to rehash that. Just wondering if others out there have FIRST HAND experience with these or other Tekton speakers
Really hope that this gets resolved. Again, shopvacs are not the answer here. A new speaker should be just that. New. Without damage. I would call daily until this is resolved porscheracer. If quality control suffers this really could be damaging to the future of Tekton. What a shame that would be.
I am now thinking about sending the speakers back...
You might fare worse doing that if my buddy's past experience is anything to go by. Hope you used a cc that has an easy claims process. I tried to warn others early on in this thread but got pounced on by the fanboys.
I just received an email from Eric that says he is going to send me "new ones". I assume that means new woofers. Karma is supposed to be getting in touch with me tomorrow.
My Pioneer M-22 amp is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I am looking forward to comparing it to my Vidar amp. I've never compared amps like this before. Any tips on how to do it to get the most objective comparison?
