Primaluna Diaglogue Premium Preamp Owners

Found lots of info regarding the older PL preamps but not a whole lot about the newer ones.

How have the stock factory tubes held up?
Did rolling different rectifiers change much?
Did you change just the middle two 12AU7 tubes or all six to the same make/model?
Have you changed the factory power cable?

Cheers.

If its anything like the integrated changing the tubes will definitely change the sound. The stock tubes will last forever as PL products are easy on tubes. The middle tubes make the most difference. What are you trying to achieve? More detail, less detail, etc....?
I have had a PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium Pre that fronts for a McIntosh SS amp and a pair of Martin Logan ESLs for a little over a year now.  I only used the stock tubes for about a month...  They sounded great after run-in but I have not used them since rolling in two 12AU7 1962 vintage MAZDA CIFTE tubes sitting in the drivers seat for the first gain stage, four 12AU7 Genalex Gold Lions in the second gain stage and cathode follower output stage and two Genalex Gold Lions 5AR4 rectifier tubes and AudioQuest power cable and interconnects.  In my system and in my room it sounds like magic.
What did the GL 12AU7 bring to the table? Are they much smoother than the stock PL tubes?
I feel that in my system, the GGLs bring higher highs and lower lows... Extension, resolution, speed and a tightness across the frequency range... The CIFTEs bring an edge, air and sparkle to the top... When everything comes together, in my listening space, I feel like I am in the venue the music was recorded in... Lush, rich, 3D and holographic...

Had my Primaluna Dialogue Premium Preamp about 18 months.

My setup is a modified Oppo 103, Coda Amp and Thiel CS5's.

1. I got out of the stock tubes pretty quickly and have not reinserted them.

2. I could not tell a difference with different rectifier tubes

3. I have changed all six au7 tubes but the middle two are we you can hear a difference. Using Mullards for the outer two pairs and switch between RCA's, Telefunken, Seimens, Brimars, GE's, etc. for the inner pair. In my system, I seem to like the Telfunkens because they provide a better texture to the mid range and bass.

4. Have kept the standard power cord.
