Integrated amp

I'm putting together  2nd/bedroom system. Any advice on a integrated amp? I would be using Silverline 17s, or Tetras. The Silverlines need some juice to come alive. A friend suggest Onkyo 9050, Cambridge Topaz 20 as possibilities. Opinions and suggestions would be most helpful.

The NAD D3020. Plenty of analog and digital inputs. It powers my desktop / bedroom system and I’m pretty happy with it. Now selling for about $399 ($100 off original MSRP)

Has a remote, and a "bass boost" setting which I have found useful.

This is the first NAD gear I’ve ever owned. I auditioned the Master Series DAC a while ago, and it was awful. This is quite pleasant. It is also quite small. They make a larger version, but it is digital only.

I find myself often compelled to stop and listen to the music. It took maybe 2-3 weeks for it to break in. The original presentation is not warm, at all, but not unpleasant, just stark, like old ARC. The starkness has worn off a bit now and it’s a touch more romantic.

However, I'm listening via my own LM-1 designs. They are pretty efficient, though obviously bass limited with a 5.25" woofer.

Best,

E
Everyone has their favorite. If you don't need a DAC, mine is the Creek 5350 SE. Remote. Detailed. Smooth. Reliable. Great Sonics. Class A-AB. Not digital sounding. Pair it with a Schiit DAC or Cambridge DAC like I do for a great system.
@drhamlingrichard - What is your primary system? What sources will you be using in the 2nd system? What is your budget? Do you have physical size restraints?
