Dealers hijacking the discussions

I’m a very long term member and look at the forums most every day. I’m personally extremely irritated by dealers injecting sales pitches into the discussions which has never really been a problem before. Dealers are biased as it’s the nature of business and this is fine but I don’t go to audiogon to see shameless promotion. There’s one guy in particular that needs to go away. The fact that you’ll all know who it is says volumes about the amount of posting this guy/dealer does on audiogon. Does anyone feel as I do. Just curious.

Then why not the rest of us advertise ourselves too ?  That would be entertaining. Hey, I want to take the opportunity to advance my business too.
I assume you can advertise your wares here but if it is not audio related you may not get much feedback.
My name is Shawn and I'm a shill for Focal and Pass. Deal with it.

The only thing that really grinds my gears is when fools hocking their wares make the boldest claims with absolute zero evidence to substantiate their claims. All they're really selling is just a bunch of discombobulated pseudo-jargon and lies. Maybe it's not obvious to the crowd here, but 2 channel audio isn't a thriving, growing hobby. Most people do think Blose is a benchmark of quality. Nobody I know had even heard of Focal until I told them. I hardly have a journey ended rig, but almost everyone I've dropped in the listening throne are blown away. They truly had no idea that a stereo could sound like that. Most people think this is already a hobby of snake oil and those hocking their snake oil are doing this hobby no favors whatsoever. That's why I take nonsensical claims to task when I find them.
As for the dealers, these folks are preaching to the choir. We're already a crowd motivated to explore our options. I think these people should be busting hump to get fresh meat in the showroom.
