Steve Hoffman site Beatles discussions?

One thing for sure, the Beatles remasters have generated a lot of discussion. Some of it I find quite interesting although there's not enough hours in the day to follow all the threads on Steve Hoffman's site. Mind boggling!

Has anyone tried to follow any of these?

Yep, there is a discussion (or several) on Hoffman, but this site is interesting- it looks like both the second and fourth issues, which share the -2 suffix in the matrix, have the same sonic attributes. (Discussion in the commentary)

My take for the CD lover-
the 1987 editions are closest to the LPs. The 2009 remasters are an improved version utilizing the differences in technology from 1987 to 2009
(both stereo and mono).
The Beatles, the only band that matters!

I guess the 2009 remasters are fine.

Unless you have heard the originals.

The Beatles on CD are still awaiting the definitive treatment. Steve Hoffman would be the man.

Unfortunately Giles Martin has now got the gig. If only he understood archiving.

SH likes to work with original tapes from studio stock. Most of his work is good, there are a few bad ones to his credit. Most of us fans still do not have an explanation why the 2009 remasters were not on SACD?
