As far as I can tell a great deal of these debates begin with heated banter about superficial specs. Eventually somebody makes some more technical claims with unequivicating certainty which in fact can be hotly debated. I think the ultimate truth when it comes down to discreet components is how you implement them and the compromises you want to make to achieve a given result. For whatever reason some feel only one result is ideal and ardently advocate for it. I tend to think the ideal result for a given component depends on a lot of factors.
