Kimber "house sound"

I am considering a pair of Kimber select 3033. A buddy of mine says Kimber tends to be bright and detailed, the opposite of warm. So does Kimber have a house sound? Is this correct? Thanks.

Kimber is certainly detailed. But not 'bright'.
(and if you want warm go buy old Cardas 'Golden' anything.)
I own Kimber KS1116 and 1016 IC. and use the 8TC for speaker cable.
The Kimber 3xxx series speaker and IC are 'recommended' in the latest TAS top picks.

IMO folks hear some story from one source ten years ago and then today say it is true... (my comment on the second hand comment about "" A buddy of mine says Kimber tends to be bright and detailed, "")
Get some real speaker cable look at top of the line Furutech will blow away Kimber.
An AQ fan, here.
But, since you haven't listed your equipment, it makes it hard to give recommendations. Remember that much of what is recommended is dependent upon system synergy.

my system is comprised of the following:
VPI Classic 2 w/Benz Micro Med output cartridge
Lumin D1 streamer, Burson Conductor DAC
Modwright LS100, KWA 100SE, GR Research  H Frame OB woofers. my own OB speakers (Satori MW16P and TW29R)
jimbones I had 3035's for a while which are silver and copper.  Never heard the 3033 but was always curious.  I found the 3035 slightly on the warm side of neutral.  They were not a great match between Mcintosh 501's and Thiels, for me anyway.

I also tried Monocle's and also found them slightly on the warm side.  I will always have 8TC somewhere in the house.  It is an all time classic.  Transparency in spades.
