There was no mention in my post of who did it first, though I appreciate bdp correcting me on the history of measurements at Stereophile. And that is not the issue.
The issue is that you ascribed the acceptance of high dollar components to the abandonment of objective testing by audio magazines when, in fact, they never abandoned objective testing. As you yourself said, “No one is entitled to their own facts.” Revisionist history indeed.
