Damn straight you have to prove it. I'm not delusional about the nature of my hearing and I know it's not a measurement apparatus. I acknowledge the factors that might effect my hearing, including hearing the exact same thing 3 or 4 times, whether I've eaten recently, if I've been around ambient noise all day, if I've exercised, or just being in a mood. Those factors played into my listening just yesterday. I started my day off listening for about an hour. Then I went out to ride some trails and ate sushi after. Sat down to listen later that evening and it just wasn't hitting the spot. I leave the system on all weekend and it was as stable as it was going to get. Analytically, it didn't sound any different, but somehow it wasn't doing something for me. Personal experience tells me these anecdotal stories of difference are ridiculous. It's not like the claims you believers are making can't be verified with some very pedestrian measurements. I'm sure none of you will though.
