Tube Friendly Speakers - Down to 30Hz - $3000?

I'm looking for speaker recommendations that play down to 30Hz. Able to be fully driven without compromise by tube amplification with as little as 15wpc.

$3000 new or used.

16x19 room. Rock, jazz and classical.

Reasonably small footprint (Klipsch K-Horns and LaScalas are too large).

I have eliminated Zu Druid and Tones from contention. All other options are open.

Thanks in advance.

Tvad, interesting post as always and great to see the responses: My guess would have been Merlin and Silverline on any shortlist. Another speaker line, which has not been mentioned yet, is Soliloquy. They are out of business, but you got to be able to find a used pair of 6.3 somewhere in California :). The Sols would have been my first affodable choice.

Also, I know you ruled out the Zu (a single driver speaker) but Cain & Cain might be another joice (dealer in LA). I did prefer my Abby's to the Zu so far. The Walla Walla Wall of Sound might be interesting (very wide speaker though).

Good luck!

Tvad,

One more local thought. OS Services in Toluca Lake is a distributor for several speaker lines that are SET friendly and not often seen anywhere. Check the OSS Audio web site and be sure to click closeouts. I bought a pair of Zingali horns after he lost distribution rights some years back and while these would also fit your requirements, I'm not sure which Zingali remain at OSS. He has a couple of others that might be of interest to you, too.

Good Luck,

Marty
Rene, great reminder about the Soliloquy products. Thank you.

Marty, would you please provide a web link to OSS? Thank you.
I didn't read the thread completely, but scanned most of it. Have you considered Audio Physic Virgo II's. A little older, but very slim, and not that large. I think they go down to what you are asking for, but I could be wrong.
