Singer has closed their location on 17th St and moved to a small, what is essentially office space on 27th. I am not sure what they have on display for audtion.
StereoExchange did the same basic thing, but they at least have equipment for audition, but by appt only and if you aren't prepared to buy that day, don't waste your time (or theirs) They're at on the 3rd  flr at B'way and 17th St.
I believe the Harmon Int'l only has their mid-fi stuff. No Revel, ML, etc.
InLivingStereo is a nice place but, you better call ahead to schedule an appt too
Harman store had ML and Revel and JBL home audio systems set up mostly in the basement when I was there last holiday season.
Audio Connection has many multiple systems set up and you don't need an appointment.  In addition, Johnny R will never steer you wrong.  Just saying.
The Devialet store was terrible. They didn't even know how to set up their equipment properly. It is mostly a showroom for Phantom line. In Living Stereo is nice with a good selection, but rigid pricing. Lyric really pushes their Wilson line. Take 5 in New Haven is a good shop with good people. My favorite is still Audio Doctor in NJ. He has a great selection and lots of patience.
