This is where Elon Musk is an asshat. He genuinely cannot think or something. Giving the driver less to do with the operation of the car isn't going to make more attentive drivers. I honestly can't stand that fool. I knew he was and idiot when he was setting up the line for the Model 3. All his windbag jive about just looking at the robots and seeing that they go slow, then demanding ABB make them go twice as fast. Those folks at ABB thought he was a complete idiot. Tesla suppliers HATE working with him because he knows nothing about much of anything. He doesn't understand why you can't run a production line with prototype tooling. He doesn't understand why you can't mass produce prototype cars. I'm not even going to get into how stupid his hyperloop ideas are. But he wants to patent the subway tunnel and give it away to anybody who can build a subway tunnel. What a clown!
