Is it OK to have xlr and rca connected at same time on arc ds450?

I have an arc ds450 amp and would like to have both xlr and rca inputs connected at same time (each from different pre amps). I would not use them at the same time of course. I would use the switch on the back of the amp to switch between the two inputs. Would this be suitable, and not damage anything? Thanks in advance

That's a shame- I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to connect and disconnect cables each time. These high end items don't take well to any sort of wear and tear...
Thanks for your advice!
XLR connectors are designed to be durable. and to be connected and disconnected hundreds of thousands of times! They are made for that!As for RCA, if you use a good locking sleeve type, it should have no problem being connected and disconnected by you, even daily.I would not use a friction sleeve type for daily plugging unplugging.
that's a fair point you make about the xlr's being durable. i'll just have to be careful (as always) when plugging/unplugging the inputs each time. Maybe steering clear of heavy, rigid interconnects that put strain on the terminals is also worth doing.
