Racks - what’s awesome without impacting my kids college plans?

My search showed the last significant rack discussion to be years ago.   I’m thinking 5 shelf, TT on top, upright style, without costing more then I spent on an amp...  I’m good with adding sand, even fabricating a granite shelf or two. Any suggestions?

I found three steel tube and glass shelf racks at a local TV Lenny sort of store for $149 each some twenty years ago.       
I filled the tubes with sand. And use rubber footers on some shelves. 
The main plus is I have my racks off to the side and NOT between the speakers. One other plus is a screen running down the center back on the racks, I zip tie the AC cords to. Leaving the RCA XLR free...
One low rack is for TV and several disc spinners. Tall one main rack, last low one for two TTs.. My amp is off nearer the speakers.I have no desire for anything better.
