Static charge is a separate issue. Which is why ionizers or anti static sprays are often recommended. But static charge is not affected by demagnetizers. So we still have the dodgy problem of magnetism and why demagnetizing the CD improves the sound. This, ladies and germs, is looks like a real and legitimate mystery we have on our hands.

over 25 years ago I bought a box of 100 AQ packets of CD shine. Well I STILL have about 20 of the packets. Being cheap I put a packet into a small soft cotton cloth, and use that for months and months to slippery up the CDs. Still is good and happy with results. Another ten years the supply should be used up. Then I guess I will have to find something new. Sadly I wasted a lot of it even polishing the CD cases etc. Even tried it on LPs.. If only I would have bought TWO BOXES.. |
