Does hearing the best in high end audio make your opinions more valid?

I say yes. Some say no. What are your thoughts?

Given that all the music we hear through the electronic systems is essentially fake and heavily processed, it makes it easier to admit the sound you want is the sound you like.

In case anyone is interested in getting the sound an actual musician listened to at home, Dual 1225 would be a good starting point. They often came with Shure cartridges, M 75 I think but may be wrong.
From a different point of view. it is not the equipment (better stuff/better opinion)but the person listening.
For example a person who never bothered to learn anything about stereo, nor much interest in music, gets invited along to the Munich Audio Show. They tag along and see and hear all sorts of interesting stuff, even private showings. As the guest of a very important rich investor/audiophile).
Do they now qualify for the claim of having heard and experience to best, as having a ’better more valid opinion’? (("Well that one was more like work of art."))Only in the context of another similar person who never did go to such an event nor had such experiences.Would that Show goer have an actual more valuable (to another audiophile) opinion than a person who never saw or heard anything other than their own system they worked on for twenty years??? Not likely. I would certainly call the isolated one system person more ’knowledgeable’ than the indifferent Munich Show goer.
And on the third hand, Someone rich who likes music, but is a bumbling know nothing when it comes to anything requiring two bits stuck together. Has all his equipment picked FOR HIM by a dealer. he has seem and heard the very best, but could not really tell you what is what in any meaningful way. Is HE worthy of saying he has a valid opinion greater than some poor relation who carefully assembled a modest system working up to a pretty good setup, mainly through buying used..Who is the person you would respect and ask a question of???
You would think so but many factors come into play so probably not a reliable predictor alone.
I agree, it is way too subjective but, given all possible options, I would have to go with the one who seems not to care about anything but the feel. At least she/he would spare me of discussions about bare wires plugged into the outlet, magnetic shields for wooden objects, poetry about electrical appliances, and a batallion of tweaks lurking behind a corner.
