Displaying your stereo on Facebook

Of course, its not the law abiding citizens carrying guns we should be worried about. If a thief is trying to rob you and you pull out a shooter, he may very have one also, then it could be the good old, bad old wild wild west revisited ......not something us non tooled up bystanders want to be stuck in the middle of. As, the average Elmer Thud gun carrying ahole, can't shoot for toffee. 
If, I ever get held up by a thief with a gun, knife, or sword (really?) then  nothing on my personage is worth me ending in up hospital, or on a morticians slab.
Its about 200 years to late for gun legislation. 
All we can do is be lucky, its a jungle out there......sadly.

I agree about the value of "things". Not worth dying for. Probably not worth killing for. The problem is, things are not the only precious items in my home.....and someone who comes into your home while you are there is likely to be a threat to your life or the life of someone you love....who also just happens to depend on you.

How each of us confronts these (admittedly rare and remote) possibilities is personal. For some, they are less rare. And even then, how we plan to deal with them remains personal. And if how we deal with them is legal,ethical and moral, then I have no criticism.
