Stillpoints - snake oil?

I have a mix of Stillpoints with more ultra minis than Ultra SS because they sounded better in those locations.  I haven't tried the 5s or 6s under my speakers as I have 185 lbs 5'6" speakers that could easily tip over in a quake (I'm in Los Angeles).  

OP here....

I now own two sets of Ultra SS. For my amp (Ayre VX-5 Twenty) and my DAC (Ayre QX-5 Twenty). They definitely have a very positive impact in my system, although it’s a bit tough to explain what. It’s a kind of “timbre” thing, something that makes the sound more natural, bigger impact, and more musical.

Next project, adding two sets of four under my speakers (Revel F228Be)! No money for now, but will save up for them in the next few months

I have four Ultra 6 with bases under my integrated amp and four Ultra SS under my CDP. Fliz said it perfectly, organic and musical are the best description I can give. Expensive, yes. Huge positive change.
