Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?

   Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact. 
   My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.

You know we think that the CPT 1800 is such a great design. And for what it does it is great. But many important design choices were made so it could be built as cheap as possible.

If Exogel purchased the design then here is what they bought.

Inside the unit is a very cheap breaker ($1.50 at Parts Express, along with the IEC). The outlets (at about $2 each at Home Depot). The wiring is daisy chained from outlet to outlet. Which means that the last outlet is getting power from whatever is left over.

The transformer used is the claim to fame. If we could find that transformer the rest of the parts would add up to under $50 total! The case is overkill to give the impression of weight.

I went ahead and eliminated the breaker, and daisy chain wiring with high quality 12 gauge wire directly from the transformer. I also replaced the outlets and inlet with Furutech GTX Nano’s.

And... the Deep Core design NEVER worked!

I really need to brush up on my soldering skills and start doing some of this myself.

Not much soldering is usually required for something as simple as what ozzy is describing. Daisy-chained outlets only require twist-on splice caps, as do connections to the transformer. Maybe the fuse holder requires soldering but twist-on caps might work there.

Powers cords like any other cable you add, it’s all about the material used. I prefer neutral and choose my cables carefully, I do NOT need added high or lows to my system. I forget the vendor in here offered a reasonbly priced power cord with choice 100% OFC copper and connectors and his product was right on. A lot hype goes into name brand products, I tried various brands, some cater to better lows, some to highs, to make up for the loss your gear was supposed to provide. Cullen, just come to my mind, I like his gold products for power cables. I like Silnote for interconnects, and I choose my own speaker cable from bulk and have them made up with quality connectors. It’s a personal thing, experience. Purchase what your budget allows do not exceed what your gear is capable of producing.

Now keep in mind, I'm old school and technology moves faster each day. I know this, just sharing what lil I've come to know.
