For each fuse the odds are 50% of putting it in the right way. The odds of putting more than one fuse in simultaneously the right way is less than 50%. With two fuses, one fuse should be evaluated first. When you decide which way is best, then evaluate the second fuse. Otherwise, it can get too complicated. Even worse for three or more fuses. If a little unsure about the first fuse direction when listening take a guess then move to second fuse. Repeat. It should more obvious the second time around.

I have to agree with geo, my input is what the amp was put together with, quality wire and the best electronics? That would mean a quality fuse holder too?

With that said most fuses that come with most gear are cheap, would a better fuse improve the unit? Anything better than what the fuse holder is made of, the units wiring and modules, might just be overkill? A better made fuse to match what it connects to? I upgraded mine, ye, but with the fuses that were one grade above the internals and holder.

Old school here. I’m sure there are a lot of technology I’m unaware of, but common sense, a drop of gold as a fuse make it sound better? Like what geo pointed out, same quality wire soldered in, step farther would be get rid of the fuse holder too...heheh

Fuses, fuse holders and the additional wiring ( or circuit board traces ), impair the sq, but, for the protection of the piece of equipment, it is there. One comment I always appreciated was by Bill Lowe of AQ.    " To Due Less Harm ". Better fuses ! Enjoy! MrD.
