Was Einstein a shaman? Galileo? As the lines get blurry between classical physics and quantum mechanics and between physics and metaphysics it’s perhaps best to recall Arthur C. Clark’s observation, A sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Snake oil came first. By a likely ~ +50k years
The entire path re professionalism, in all possible ways... is rooted in the thing that came first ---- snake oil. Something that was in play the whole time....of predating ideas on professionalism -----for a likely 50,000 plus years.
To attack the very thing that bought about and formed -hell no, Defines- human intellect?
Study suggests shamans acted as the first professional class in human society
Could be an interesting discussion but I expect degeneration will set in quite soon.

Bureaucracy.. I remember at my job we had a small computer program glitch, but an annoying one. Naturally the rules said we had to tell our supervisor, who would pass the info along. Months go by, nothing. When a coworker griped about it again, I sent an email to my supervisor, but accidentally sent it to 'all'. naturally I got ripped for doing so. (even though idiots in other areas would send out such 'memos of they will be on vacation, or out of office for the afternoon to all, endlessly. when I sent back emails saying thank you for letting me know such important news and how I loved spending time reading drivel... you know what happened) Long story short the computer glitch problem was taken care of immediately. Seemed my to all got to the person who could DO something. naturally this infuriated the supervisor, who forevermore treated me like some dust bunny under a desk.(actually the nasty attitude was caused by a expensive gizmo she wanted to buy for the department. I said the gizmo was junk and a scam to rip off idiots. She bought it anyway, and discovered it was a scam to rip off idiots. She never forgave me for proving she was an idiot.) |
Premium cable companies use science so it makes a big difference Scientist used math to "prove" gay marriage is wrong Chibuihem Amalaha used magnets to "prove" that gay marriage is wrong. North and south poles of magnets are attracted to each other, but the same poles repel. Therefore, this obviously "means that man cannot attract another man because they are the same. The latest scientific evidence ( Women's Health Magazine) shows that the sons of pregnant women who consume chicken are more likely to have smaller penises because of a chemical found in the birds' flesh." TECHNOLOGY EDITOR, WALL STREET JOURNAL Wilson Rothman says there's a body of research indicating that premium cables may indeed sound better than cheaper cables. |
