Recommendation of a good nearfield speaker

I know this question is probably asked a lot but, I want a speaker with a forward sound, almost like headphones. Any recommendations in the used or new 1500 - 2000 dollar range.

Forward sound and can be a bit bright with some solid-state amps. Detail and imaging are exceptional. Proac 1SC also worth considering.
