magnestand owners

I had Peter rebuild my 1.6's a couple of years ago (gosh has it been that long) anyway I think my speakers are the best. Are they perfect..no. But they are so much better than the original 1.6's it's just amazing. I could go on and on about clarity, soundstage and tonality but it really will not help you ...you just have to pull the trigger and have him do the work. I use to communicate with 'Peter" from time to time and I think he is avery ethical and great old word craftsman. I recently auditioned a new pair of 3.7's and you no what they were really not that much better than my 1.6's that had been modded. Yes I have good ears and my girlfriend also said, Hey don't get the 3.7's ..there not that much better. HOWEVER we both agreed that the 20.1 maggies were much better in comparison to the 1.6's. Total rewiring quality Vampire connectors and Superb capacitorsI have used the Mundorf Silver oil, as well as the Jupiter flat stack both excellent
And the Jantzen copper foil inductors and Duelund resistors are Miles better this is why they re seperate from the original enclosure these speakers are well worth all the time and monies that go into these
I heard the modified 1.6, and 3.6 these speakers compete very well with speakers several times their cost.just research .how many do you ever see up for sale? That is my point.you be the judge, no one else.

I heard both the 1.6's and the SMGA's at Pete's place about 5-6 years ago and would have bought a pair on the spot if I had the money. I actually prefered the SMGA's to the 1.6's excellent speakers for sure that easily compete with speakers costing much more
