In my first setup so I'm on a budget. Any ideas on a sub 500 Speaker set?

My amp is:
Mcintosh MC7100

I'm guessing that by "BA" you mean Boston Acoustics, Phasecorrect. As a newcomer, Funkpolvo may not be familiar with our shorthand.

If you can live with some minor cosmetic damage and don't mind older, used speakers, there are many good deals on speakers right here on Audiogon. One example is a pair of Linn Keilidhs for $375 with missing grills. If they are in good working order (it says they are), that is a lot of speaker for the money. There are many others, as well.
Where are you located? You list "P" as your country of residence. That could be a huge factor in getting worthwhile recommendations.
Boston Acoustic it is...i just bought a pair...not theBA of old...smooth, rich, engaging, but not overly ripe/warm, they are a great find....
I'd chime in with a pair of Magnepan SMGa if you can find them. I picked up a pair recently for $350 and they are really wide open and have a really nice tight bass response.
