I may have a better solution for you. Most room treatment products are made using fibreglass. You can make your own. Get some fibreglass panels and cover them with a cloth that matches your room. Hang them on the wall or wherever you need them.

Good suggestion. Thicker is better.

Remember those sorts of homemade fiberglass panels are pretty much a one frequency trap.
So it will do something.. just maybe not what you want.

Elizabeth - I don't think that is true, because:

1) You can go to the manufacturer's page and view tables of the amount of absorption per frequency over a range of frequencies

2) The limitations of absorption pattern will not be any different for commercial products that are made of the same fiberglass

That said, I agree that the compressed fiberglass panels do have a sonic signature, and they do not absorb evenly across the whole spectrum. Do you have other suggestions for better absorption patterns?

If they cost $3500 each they are perfect for it.
