Absolute Phase is another tweak you can try to improve things even more! At the outputs on the sony you just reverse the you way you hook up the interconnect and at the other end of the interconnect you (do not) reverse them. I did this to my speaker cables too.

@rhing, you say the arrow on the isoclean fuse should be pointing toward the front of the PS1 rom the rear, how do you know this?

is this from personal perception (ie, you favour the sound this way) or have you actually measured the continuity with measuring tools?
