Best bearing for homemade turntable

Was just wondering if there is a consensus on what is the best bearing for a turntable platter? I plan on making my own plinth and platter. Thanks . P.S. By the way the platter will be made of plastic or acrylic and the platter too.

Find out the specs on VPI's acrylic platters and then you could buy one of their bearings...

This is an interesting design, it uses a Harley Shovelhead valve stem and guide as the turntable beaaring.
