New Thorens 150 AB plinth?

Does anyone build custom plinths for this model? I've seen replacement plinths for other Thorens units, but not this one.

I aim to use Maple for the main body and a beautiful piece of ebony for the arm board. (I am a joiner). My problem is with the sound. I added a RB300 arm with ortofon red and the sound has been very disapointing ie almost no bass. I have a good powerful amp and speakers any advice?.I can help with plinth rebuild help.
